At the June 7 School Board meeting, it was announced that the $23 million deficit in the General Fund budget for the 2022-23 year had been fully addressed. This deficit and the proposed strategies to address it were discussed at the January 11 and 25 School Board meetings. There was a stakeholder survey and listening sessions in late January to obtain feedback on the options to address the deficit. At the February 8 meeting, the School Board approved a set of strategies to address the deficit. Details of the selected strategies can be found on pages 132-142 of the budget book, and how the strategies responded to the themes in the stakeholder feedback are pictured below https://go.boarddocs.com/mn/rps535/Board.nsf/files/CEXT5H735480/$file/Attachment%20A%20-%202022-2023%20Proposed%20Budget.pdf
